re the price - yes i agree it was cheap, but, less than my maximum, there was no reserve, the starting price was low and most importantly, no competition for it.

I see your point however do i really want to risk my 100% feedback for this?
Its likely as a newbie he'll leave me bad feedback, close his account and start again.
ebay is a nightmare wrt feedback and the subject opens up a whole new can of worms.
in the past i've voluntarily paid more than the final price for a couple of watches because i've sympathised with the vendor and don't want to rip people off.
things just didn't add up with this guy and the story about Paris, then the high figures he was after etc. etc.
