Selling my first really vintage watch: a minty Omega Speedmaster Professional Mark IV from 1973 on its original bracelet.
A wonderful and important watch, which encapsulates all features in a sleek form to become an 'elegant toolwatch' - perfect for all occasions from a hike in the mountains to a gala dinner.

BASIC FEATURES

DETAILS
The hooded-lugs case has a 3-finish pattern with sunburst on the top, polished on the edges and satin on the sides - a true work of art.
The case back has the seamonster logo and the Speedmaster inscription.

The dial is a two-subregister - typical and unique of Omega cal. 1040-1041 and Lemania 1340 - where the subdial at 9 o'clock is hosting both the continuous seconds and a 24-hr arrow indicator sunk beneath the dial. This was the first integrated chrono movement in history, released by Omega in 1970 on the basis of a Lemania 5100 of which it is considered the 'parent' of higher quality (no plastic parts) and hence cost.
Like the more famous Lemania 5100, this calibre has central minute and second chrono hands that greatly enhance credibility.
It has the famous 'diamond' hand with luminous triangle for chrono second, just like the Moonwatch.

The watch is signed with Omega's logo on dial, crown, clasp and movement.

COSMETIC CONDITIONS
Almost perfect conditions overall.
Case: very good, a few hairlines on the backcase (completely restored by Omega in 2008 at service)
Bracelet: few desk-diver's scuffs on the clasp is all I can see (completely restored by Omega in 2008 at service)
Pushers and crown: perfect (substituted in 2008 by Omega at service)
Dial: perfect (substituted in 2008 by Omega at service)
Hands: perfect (substituted in 2008 by Omega at service)
Glass: perfect (substituted in 2008 by Omega at service)

The lume on dial and hands of this watch is great, it really glows in the dark and keeps a vivid light for hours.

PERFORMANCE
Working flawlessly and keeping perfect time. All chrono hands neatly resetting to zero, with pushers operating crisply.

HISTORY
Bought in 2006 in very good conditions, previous history unkown, this was my go-to watches for a couple of years and never had any flaws.
Completely overhauled by Omega in 2008 with substitution of glass, dial, hands, pushers, seals, gaskets and complete restoration of the case and bracelet to their original specifications.
Regulated in 2010.

If you discount the usual (and very few) 'desk dive' scuffs on the bracelet clasp, this would qualify as a perfect status.
