Thanks Paul - and more questions
In Response To: Re: Some answers ()

Hi Paul

Thank for your contribution that takes us a big step forward:
- So we know that the "Autavia Compressor Case Mk 1" has the small diameter bezel ring.
- Interesting theory about the case back with (Mk 1) and without (Mk 2) engraving. That will rule out the idea that they were all engraved but that some had the engraving polished away.

But Paul - I think you own some of these watches so come forward with info.

Another question is what watches uses identical case in regards to movement, not bezels.
- Is the 2446C case identical to the tide and GMT watches that also use a Valjoux 72(x) movement?
- Is the 7763 and 7863 case identical? Will Valjoux 7730 and 7732 fit in both cases?

Regards Peter

Info to all compressor case owners. It is easy to prise off the bezel. Can be done with fingers and nails in most cases.

: Hi Peter - well you have been busy and yet again you raise another
: very interesting topic. I love this forum because I am always
: learning something more about these amazing watches. I can help
: with some points as follows:

: Definetly the small ring

: No idea - this will be very hard to pin down unless we find a big
: change in serial numbers. For example: Autavia 2446c GMT Mark 1
: # 131224 vs Mark 4 #195996.
: Something to explore but in my experience the Mark 1 case has an
: engraved backcase and the Mark 2 has plain/polished backcase. It
: certainly is the case with the GMT example above.

: regards
: Paul
