The watch is listed on eBay, and I expect that it will be there for the duration (unless it attracts some "bottom fishing").

People do get weird about the serial numbers. Last year, for example, I noticed that many high-end auction catalogs include the serial numbers, for every watch being offered, but Bonhams did not include the serial numbers for the Haslinger Collection. Arno would not give out the numbers, referring to some issues under English law. So that trove of serial numbers has come and gone.

Even within our community, some of us are free and easy with the SNs, some prefer not to give out the last two or three digits, some will not provide them at all, no matter how many times (and how nicely) I ask.

Let me add that my own "cheat sheet" of serial numbers is approaching 500 entries, across the decades and across all models, and has become a spectacular source of information . . . about which we will see more, very soon. I still spend far too much time thinking about what to do with this list.
