You are so right. There is something very special about them. I bought a 2 subdial version, it was cheap and I figured I could wear it for a bit, tidy it up and move it on. But I was taken by the classic beauty and feel of it. I can't quite explain it, all I know is that it makes me grin whenever I wind the old girl up and wear it.
