Stewart:
Fantastic that this one has ended up with you!! These are great watches, especially when you want to feel a big chunk of steel on your wrist!!
You've also got some excellent provenance with yours . . . concept by DeVos, production by The Master . . . what more could you want in a watch!!
I wear my AMI frequently, and always enjoy it. I hope that you will enjoy yours!!

: I have to fess up.. I've done a horrid thing.
: I can only apologise, it's disgraceful bahaviour.
: I have relieved David D of one of his only two remaining Heuers..
: There - I said it.
: This 'Civilian' AMI 1000 Series 510.543.
: It was custom built for David, using Sinn case - all the stampings
: removed, case was refinished with a circular brushed finish,
: overhauled original movement, keeping excellent time, NOS AMI
: dial, handset, crown, pushers and crystal and gasket....
: I have to say I'm over the moon about it - it did come on a
: legendary David D strap... but I dropped it on a Super Pro
: bracelet that suits it perfectly...
: Thanks David for the opportunity to get my mucky mitts on this
: lovely piece..
