Jeff:
these red dials are known as fakes in all the world.
The Singer stamp on the back is not an hallmark but a modern reproduction.
The are not the steps on the dial. The fonts are different from the one that singer used.
We also know the name of the trader who made these dials.
More, if the dial is produced in the 60s, why is it fitted on a watch 6.625k, built in 1981?
Today the fakes in Rolex are so well done and so common that also Rolex has many many problems of authentication.
I imagine that someone who paid 500.000 USD for that watch had found the way to obtain that document,
in order to get back some of the money he spent.
But i think he will be able to sell the watch to a football player, or a TV star, not to a watch collector or someone able to look at a dial.
Nevertheless these red dials have a great looking! Something strong like 'our' red, genuine, Silverstone!
