How About a Fun, Automatic Dive Watch?

Something like this might be fun, assuming that you would be happy with a sports watch . . . good brand, with lots of bang for the buck; fun color; mechanical . . . probably around $500.

I would have been thrilled with this as an 18 year-old. If the watch bug doesn't bite your son, then you can have a fun watch, likely different from the other in the watch box.

: To try and answer some of your and my questions,

: not necessarily a chronograph but it would be nice
: a diver style watch would I'm sure go down well (no pun intended)
: budget would need to be in the hundreds as opposed to thousands,
: something that if it were damaged wouldnt be a tragedy but at
: the same time something that would encourage him to look after
: it with a view to progressing and hopefully collecting for
: himself.
