Thank you for posting ;-) Very interesting.
Cheers Arno
: I went to the TopGear Live show in London on the weekend. My son is
: more of a car fan than me, but it was fun. I liked the more
: classic cars from the 60s and 70s, he preferred the 2011
: models...but he agreed the Muira was beautiful. Have to say even
: for a vintage snob, the 458 is as classic as any of the old
: 60-70s Ferraris.
: Anyway, on to the point of the post. The TopGear magazine on sale
: at the show had a special insert section called "Cars &
: Watches". It was pretty good, 1163 Autavia on the cover
: photo, and an article about Heuer timing and formula 1. But what
: was funny that in their introductory section, they managed to
: talk about Mcqueen, Le Man and Siffert without mentioning Heuer!
: I guess they felt if they mentioned Heuer too much all the
: wannabe advertisers (Raymond Weil, Seiko, TW Steel, etc) would
: not pay for their adverts in the section!
: Here is the cover...
:
:
: Here is a page from the Heuer article...
:
:
: And here is the introduction, try very, very hard not to use the H
: word!!!
