Questions about OTD GMT

Hello,

there is a version of the manual GMT on OTD i have never seen before. It's this one http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Chronographs/62.Autavia/c.Manual--GMT/b.Reference_2446C_GMT/v.2446C_GMT_Various/?show=63Aut72GMT.JPG. Can someone tell me why these odd hands were used? Is this the condition it was sold or are some parts service-replacements?
