Is Cal. 11 Good For Daily Wear?

I'm new to this so please bear with me....

I've know that the Cal.11 was quickly replaced by the improved version and then the Cal. 12 because it had problems. Do you guys think a Heuer with a Cal. 11 makes for a good daily wearer now? Will the movement hold up and if things brake are parts available?
