Hello,
after this one sold: http://www.ebay.de/itm/190607029358?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 it didn't take much time till the owner of this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/HEUER-Herrenlederarmbanduhr-Chronograph-/220907547725?pt=DE_Kleidung_Schmuck_Accessoires_Uhren_Armbanduhren&hash=item336f1dac4d got an offer he obviously couldn't refuse. I think i could make an unending list of examples.
I'm not that long scouting the vintage watch market on ebay but is this normal? I think 50% to 70% of all vintage Heuer auctions is ended by the owner due to off-ebay offers. Had it always been like that? Or is this a new thing due to the fact, that the prices increased massively in addition to the smaller supply?
Cheers,
Manuel
