So we have seen two this week, both at the $6,800 level . . . perhpas both were bargains?
Seems that the eBay piece may have been a shade low, because we had a quirky seller, relatively poor photos and a USA-only auction listing . . . and some confusion about the low serial number / originality. I agree with Arno's assessment of the Bonhams result -- a specialist's watch in a room full of people who are probably not chasing the high-end Heuers.
So what is the assessment of current market price for the really nice ones, say the first version of the 1158 CHN in near mint condition? I seem to recall someone suggesting that they in the $12,000 to $15,000 range? Does that seem correct?
