: Hi
HELLO, MAY IGIVE YOU MY THOUGHTS?
: I'm interested in the Heuer re-edition Carrera
: and Monaco.
: I've read quite a few favourable write-ups here
: for the Carrera, but what are your thoughts
: on the Monaco? I particularly like Monaco's
: distinctive case and the fact that it has a
: date facility, but is it really worth the
: extra over a Carrera?
ONLY IF YOU LIKE THE STYLE ENOUGH TO PAY IT
: Can someone also clarify if the Monaco uses a
: ETA-DD chronograph movement?
I WOULD NOT CONSIDER MYSELF AN EXPERT ON THIS
BUT I UNDERSTAND THE SO CALLED CAL17 IS BASED
ON AN ETA 2894-2 MOVEMENT
: Does anyone actually have a Monaco has a daily
: use watch and if so, what are the pros and
: cons?
YES, I HAVE A "MCQUEEN" EDITION AS A DAILY USER.
COMPARED TO A CARRERA THE CHRONO. PUSHERS ARE
LESS EXPOSED.
AGAINST' I AM ALWAYS AWARE THAT IT HAS A
PLEXIGLASS CRYSTAL (LIKE THE ORIGINAL)
THE LATEST CARRERAS HAVE SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL
I AM MUCH MORE CAREFUL THAN WHEN I USE MY
ROLEX SUBMARINER
I THINK IF YOU SPEND THAT KIND OF MONEY YOU
ARE GOING TO BE CAREFUL ANYWAY?
: Any help would be appreciated.
IF YOU LIKE THE STYLE OF THE MONACO I WOULD
GO FOR IT. IT IS A NICE WATCH WITH A VERY
INDIVIDUAL STYLE
: Thanks
IT'S A DIFFICULT CHOICE THOUGH. I WOULDN'T
TURN DOWN A CARRERA EITHER.
IT'S YOUR CHOICE. YOU'LL BE HAPPY EITHER WAY
I THINK.
GOOD LUCK,
MARK BAKER.
