There are a few other spots that are worth visiting ...

1. Portobello market on a Saturday morning. lots of atmosphere and a place where you can find just about anything old and vintage. there are a number of watch dealers hidden in walk in markets that line Notting hill. Difficult to find bargains but worth a punt.

2. Spitalfields market in E1 (east London) on a Sunday morning. Get there early (close to brick lane, another famous market). Jalopies galore with a number of resident vintage watch dealers.

3. Paddington - walk around the Paddington area (close to Edgware road). there are a number of second had watch dealers in the area.

For good food, If you have a car, I recommend you take a ride to a little village called Hunsdon (15 miles or so north of London, up the A10) and visit the fox and hound (gastro pub) on a Sunday. most excellent gourmet food at very reasonable prices.
