Our Best Expert Has Confirmed
In Response To: Thanks Everyone ()

Our best expert here in the US of A has confirmed that this was a production model, although it was produced in rather limited quantities.

Second execution case; original hands are as shown on the watch [yes, they look too long, but Heuer did not get around to producing shorter hands for this one, as they did for the Carreras with the tachy scales on the dial].

Indeed, it's time to update the Autavia Reference Table.

Thanks to everyone for a great discussion.

: Thanks everyone for the helpful comments.

: The owner tells me that the hands are original. In fact, apart from
: the bezel, the watch is exactly how he bought it new.

: So it sounds like a Second-execution screwback case, which needs
: the thinner Minute bezel (agree that it would be unlikely to use
: a tachy scale).

: Hopefully the owner can find a new bezel and then we'll have a
: "new" Autavia to add to the Autavia page.
