This all started after a bit of excess Chrismas drinking.. I sent David from website Cal.11 an email, basically saying that if he ever wanted to sell his late 11063 GMT, drop me a mail. I forgot about it.. but a week or so later David got back to me, and by complete coincidence, he was thinking about moving it on. I decided to sell my 11630 version to fund the 11063. Cut a long story short.. I got it, and while I waited for it to arrive from Down Under, another GMT, an early 60's 2446C was acquired :D
So, for a brief period this morning, before the 11630 went to it's new owner, and the 2446C went off for a spa treatment, I had the pleasure photographing the three together...
L to R: 2446C, 11630, 11063
The 11630, off to a fellow collector...
So, I now have this chunk of awesomeness.. the biggest Autavia case, the sublime 11063 GMT - another bonus is that this very model has been in the presence of Jack Heuer himself, when David (from Cal. 11) had dinner with him. I think Jack may have tried it on - I'll have to re-read the Cal. 11 editorial.
I just love it, it's in exceptional condition. I do have the jubilee bracelet, but I couldn't wait to take pics, plus, I think it looks awesome on a NATO (sorry NATO haters!)...
Cheers
Stewart
