I love the Daytona and F40 (more for its ability to kill you) but my favourite is the 288 GTO. I like to think that I can still afford a 550 but I am kidding myself really. As much as I like the 250s I've always wanted a Maserati 3500 GT. There's no other 1950s/1960s GT road car that looks better - discuss!

Going back to the 599 replacement, what we consider to be a beautiful car doesn't tend to be from the last few years when crash protection, minimum height of head- and rear lights and so on combine to make cars bigger, bulkier and uglier. Combined with the need to cool (and let heat out of) the massive engines of modern cars while keeping them aerodynamic, designers are having a hard time of things. At least though Ferrari are doing modern designs, the SLS has stupid doors and an arse lacking any kind of coherent design!
