A few months ago I picked up a 2446C GMT (4th execution) on Craigslist. The kid I bought it from said it was all original, and he inherited it from his grandfather. When we meet, he gets out of his car not holding the watch, but this green box (with the watch inside, of course). I was very excited to get the original box, which was not mentioned before in our e-mails. All of the other Autavia boxes I have seen are red.
Inside, under "Heuer" It says "New York-Switzerland-London" and underneath it says 'Box Made In Canada" (pressed into the box).
It looks to be authentic, but I have not seen one before. Is it anything special, just a run of the mill box, a fake? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks
Nick
