We'll have to wait for the telecast to make DVD...
We Need Screen-Shots / Rahal Also Raced a Bit

Chuck:
If ever we needed screen shots, that would be now. I am wondering whether Rahal is an "Ambassador" for TAG-Heuer, has some other affiliation, or just walked into the jewelry store and said "Hey, that one looks great. I'll take it!" Sorry, we'll have to wait for the telecast to become available on DVD... I can do DVD screen captures, but until I get a EyeTV or TiVo or ReplayTV I can't do anything on broadcast or cable TV sorry.
I don't know if BR has any affiliation or not. Of course TAG-Heuer has a deal with both the track at Indianapolis and the IRL... One certainly couldn't swing a dead cat over their head without hitting a Tiger/Sarah Fisher TAG-Heuer Ad on TV this weekend.
I rooted for Bobby Rahal, as a driver who had more than his share of tough luck at Indy. The details escape me, but I recall one victory and many more "what if"s . . . much like Mario Andretti. The first time I really took notice of Bobby Rahal was in his Rookie appearance in the 500, when race leader (and eventual winner) Tom Sneva passed him on the right comming off of the 4th turn and cut across Rahal's path into the pits. Rahal didn't so much as blink. I said out loud, that driver is a cool customer, he'll be a good one.
I also sat across the main straightaway from Bobby's pit when he won in 1986. I was rooting for Rahal all the way that year, of course I think just about everyone was rooting against Kevin Coogan (who was a place to happen looking to cause an accident of a driver if I ever saw one at Indy).
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I watched portions of the Formula One race at the Nurburgring, including Schumacher's amazing first few laps, but it's not much fun lately watching only to see (a) what the margin of victory will be, (b) who will finish second, or (c) who will take Schumacher out of the race. Personally, I'm more of a Road Race fan personallly. Of course F1 is a super-prepared vehicle on a prepared course... I'm more of an endurance (LeMan's, Sebring, etc.) fan than anything else these days, although I enjoy Road Rallye as well. I wish F1 was a little more exciting and competitive than it's been the past 10 years or so. It's not at all like it was in the 1960's or 1970's anymore.
