Plexiglass scratches 64'ReEdition

Hello All,
Can anyone give me some insight on how to remove scratches from the Plexiglass Glass on the 64'Carrera Re Edition's? My instruction manual clearly states that they are made like the originals and are not scratch resistant.
I for one see this as a downfall they seem to be highly suceptible to the slightest bump and whoa there is a scratch;-(
But it sure does recieve alot of attention when worn on ones wrist.
