I know there is a high proportion of US collectors on here, so I'm hoping you can help. The Vietnam war is something that I grew up with in 'Movie' format only - ie. all the Hollywood blockbusters from the 80's/90's. I wasn't old enough to comprehend the war in real-time.
I know that the odd Heuer has seen action on the wrist of US fighter pilots, but was there an 'issued' watch for the military?
The UK has it's known & well documented mil issued watches, but I've never really come across a genuine Vietnam issued watch. Some ebay sellers claim 'Vietnam era', ie. trying to 'cash in', but what do the US Mil collectors look for?
Thanks
Stewart
