I would be surprised to see the GMT go quite so high as $6850 but would not be surprised to see it edging up to the $5000 barrier.
To break down this watch
- it has the correct case back (with the subtle multi cresent mark near the edge to indicate the preferred opening point)
- correctly marked Heuer in 4 places ( inner case back, movement, crown & dial)
- correct combination of handset/dial to go with the fluted pusher execution of this model
- a genuine bezel in place (still in a resonable state)
On top of everything this rare 2446C execution is my favourite of the manual wind GMT models. I like the combination of the stainless steel hands & the fluted pushers of this model.
