I really like the big manual wind Autavias, like this ref. 73663MH. On first sight I questioned the dial with the sun like hour counter, but his is a clean military design version (no marks, though). Thanks Derek for this outstanding watch.
For a while the watch looked great on a black NATO G10 strap with metal rings, but I eagerly wanted a metal bracelet to match the big chunk of case metal. On ChronoTrader I found a special Autavia bracelet, apparently made for the German market only. It fits perfectly in dimensions and style. Thanks James for the bracelet.
The links are not connected tightly but have plenty room for movement:
The deployant clasp allows fine adjustment:
Only after attaching the bracelet I noticed that the OTD reference shows a similar bracelet on this type of watch (http://onthedash.com/Guide/_Chronographs/62.Autavia/i.Manual--Later_Style/72.Reference_73663/F.Black_on_Black/).
Does anybody know on which kind of bracelet or strap the watch was originally sold? In which markets?
Any infos are appreciated.
Cheers,
Mick
