Easy Rider - Stem ??

Hi Guys

My watch maker is replacing the hands on two of my Easy Riders, the luminous had fallen out and the guy in BKK has handsets if anyone else needs them.

But he cannot fathom out how to remove the stem from the movement in order to get the movement from the 1 piece case.

He is a pretty experienced watch mender so my helpful hints of try pully it really hard have fallen on deaf ears.

Does anyone know how to do this job properly before my easy riders are torn to shreds.
