David has posted an excellent First Review of the Carrera Calibre 1887, in the 43 mm case --

I know that sometimes the “vintage guys” show only limited interest in the modern TAG Heuer offerings, but I thought that it might be interesting to solicit some reactions to these new models. As David describes in full detail, TAG Heuer has taken the original Cal 1887 Carrera, enlarged the case (and dial), and used the newly available space for Arabic numerals (taken from the Carrera Heritage series).
What are our reactions to this new model? Does it combine the best of some previous models (Cal 1887 movement and attractive Arabic numerals), to create a new line that will appeal to folks who want larger chronographs? Too big / too small / just right? Which would be your choice of colors -- white, black or anthracite? Any interest among the "vintage guys"?
Thanks for your views.
