Two basic reactions: 1) I totally agree with Mark about the applied/gilded markers cheapening the look; 2) as with prior new watches and reissues, I cant warm up to the new pusher style. The vintage fluted pushers seem to be so much more elegant and timeless. The new pushers seem like they belong to "old-timey" watches advertised in the back of magazines.
The new Carrera also seems a bit derivative--I see more than a little IWC in there. Overall, the design seems to be trying to bridge vintage and modern without really succeeding at either in my opinion.
