Jody Scheckter and the magnificent 7

I guess most of the UK contingent know all about this this annual event, but I thought I'd share it with those outside of our sceptred isle.

We have a well known DJ by the name of Chris Evans, who, in short, bought and sold Virgin Radio, making a lot of money, had his own TV show etc, and is generally liked and is an all-round nice guy. He is also a massive petrol head, and had a magnificent collection of vintage Ferraris, I believe many have been painted white.

Anyway, each year, for the charity 'Children in Need' (big in the UK, not sure about worldwide), he auctions off 'driving slots' and if you win a slot, you get to drive all of the magnificent seven - all Ferraris (raised over £1m this year). Most of the cars would be pampered in a museum, but not these, Evans likes them to be driven & enjoyed. They go on a mini road trip, switching cars along the way - they visit his buddies.. Jody Scheckter at his farm, drop in at Nick Mason's (Pink Floyd) gaff for a tea & biscuits, and of course have a look in his hangar (yes hangar) full of his own car collection, then on to Longleat for a hill-climb, then Goodwood I believe. I'm sure I've missed out a load of details, but thought I'd share with you..
