Dear all,
I just step in regarding the serialnumbers.
Regarding the modelnumber we all know the Caliber 15 Monaco's were housed in both reference cases, being 1133 and 1533. In fact, the Caliber 15 M's which are housed in a 1533 ref.case are very scarce. Over the last 9 or 10 years I had the opportunity to see a lot of watches passing trough my hands, I'd set a rough percentage on 40% for the 1533 stamped mod.numbers towards 60% towards the 1133 stamped mod.nimbers which were used for the Caliber 15 Monaco's.
As for the serials...I am very sure that a lot of caliber 15 Monaco's came with serials much lower then suggested. I will not be discussing somebody else's opinion it's just that I do have my very first Heuer....which happens to be an 1533G, and which came NOS to me, from my fathers shop...it has the reference 1133 and serial 1639xx. Of this watch I'm 1000% sure it is original and untouched...
So, 16xxxx serial number for a caliber 15 Monaco...no problem at all.
Cheers,
Abel.
