Bienvenido indeed!
In Response To: Bienvenido El Primero ()

You've landed one of the rarer references, Manuel - I haven't seen one of these change hands in a public venue in almost two years. And it looks to be in very proper condition without any of the hands substitutions or the hamfisted case polishing that can ruin this case so easily. Enjoy it!

: Dear all,

: we read much about the old funky Zenith Chronographs lately and it
: made me really crazy to see these beauties without having one
: myself. So I started the hunt. But it is even harder to find a
: nice El Primero, I'm talking about the ones, Lous was showing in
: his OTD-El-Primero-table, then finding a nice Heuer. And the
: prices are really crazy at the moment, so i presume, some other
: are searching, too.

: Now the question is, why am I writing all this stuff. Well, OTD and
: a hooked on relative of mine brought me to vintage watches. And
: the only brand I was looking for, was Heuer for quite a time.
: But lately I realised that are plenty of other fish in the sea,
: so I broadened my horizon and went for the Zenith.

: So it's a special watch for me in many ways. It's my first non
: Heuer vintage watch. Actually I bought another one first. But
: since then it's at the watchmaker, because it didn't work. The
: Zenith is also the first watch that I can track it's history to
: day one, because I got it from the first owner. The last special
: thing is, that the Zenith has the lowest production numbers of
: all watches in my tiny collection. Lous metioned the number of
: 1000 produced pieces. How many might have survived?

: I hope the first flickering love with this watch will develope to a
: long-term relationship. Because usually I'm very inconstant and
: some watches had to go very quick after a short time of
: enthusiasm. Just very few pieces could resist this process until
: now.

: Hope you like the watch as much as I do at the moment ;-)

: Cheers,
: Manuel
