I do find that slight revisionism a bit irritating - at least Heuer has continuity, unlike some "revived" watch brands, but does the official site really need to say things like:
1887 TAG Heuer patents the oscillating pinion
No. No it didn't. Because it didn't exist in 1887. Heuer patented the oscillating pinion in 1887. I do feel they could say that instead, be correct and still have the connection be entirely clear to any reader.
