Maybe it's the relatively gentle motion of the autowinder. Maybe on the wrist with more bold movement it would fair much better?
I've a Cal. 12 Monza, and it was the same, I lent it to James, he wore it for a while and didn't report any problems - maybe he's just more active than me!!
