While I was and am still hunting the Zenith hand-wound Diver's Chronograph I learned to appreciate some of the early El Primero chronographs, only a few models, fortunately.

A very rich, yet balanced and readable dial on a renowned movement, in a classically shaped case of moderate size (40 mm -- with crown!), on a sometimes torturing, very sporty bracelet: a gorgeous, still underrated, combination.
