Should this be a recent incident like a few days ago or last week then what follows does not applies, however, if the event occurred while you were away on the week of 08/20/2012 there was a gentleman who acquired a model similar to yours also cited here http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=56376 I am not accusing the gentleman of anything but if it's a coincidence that you happened to be away on vacation on the week of 08/20/2012 and the gentleman acquired it around that time then it would not hurt to ask if the serial number matches yours.

Again, I humbly apoligize if the person of the above thread thinks that I'm making any accusation as this is unintentional.
