Chuck's Flea Market: October 31st through November 4th

Let's have a "special" version of Chuck's Flea Market ("CFM"), to give members of our community an opportunity to sell some watches / buy some watches, well before the end of the year. Some may ant to raise some spending money for the holidays; others may want to buy some early gifts. For those who are new to the forum, during Chuck's Flea Market, we allow buying, selling and trading on this discussion forum.

We'll hold this special edition of the Flea Market from Wednesday, October 31st (a good day to offer the orange and black watches, in honor of Halloween) through the following Sunday, November 4th. We are not too strict about the start and finish dates, so you can feel free to list a little before or a little after, if more convenient for you.

“Chuck’s Flea Market” was the creation of one of our founding members, Chuck Maddox, who passed away in May 2008. The idea is that at the end of each calendar quarter, we open our discussion forum so that our contributors can post listings to buy and sell watches. Yes, of course we have ChronoTrader every day, but the Flea Market allows some concerted buying and selling, and generates good participation of both buyers and sellers. You can feel free to:

  • list watches for sale (FS), with a fixed price or seeking offers
  • tell us about the ones you want to buy (WTB)
  • post your entire wish list, or
  • propose trades (WTT).
These Flea Markets have been a very successful outlet for many of our contributors; they are a good way for our chronographs to find new homes (within the "family") and a good way for our readers to show how their collections may be shifting (specifically, telling other readers about the watches they are seeking to buy and sell). There are never any fees or charges, and you deal directly with your counterparty.

So you have exactly two weeks to get out the watches that you are not wearing, take some great photos, and let’s see some interesting watches for sale, starting October 31st. If you are in a buying mode, you now have two weeks to round up some spending money.
