Thanks Steve.. it is pretty much like NOS.
You are absolutely right.. I went through exactly the same though process.. on first looking at it there is a 'oh no' reaction, almost a dislike, but it's quite fascinating, and if you study it a little more, it becomes very alluring, and you realise it's a beautifully laid out table (even if I don't fully understand how to use it).
Then you eye is drawn to the yellow-orange numbered outer bezel. It really is quite smart, and it catches everyone's eye.

: Wow! At first glance it was too busy. Words or descriptions
: that immediately popped up in my head were, compass, Breitling
: busy and Las Vegas casino roulette. But the more I look at it,
: the more I am fascinated and impressed by its vivid presentation
: and bright colors. The condition of your example is simply
: stunning! It looks like it just came out of a sealed box from a
: jewelry store. I love it! The dial, the bulbous crystal, the
: case shape, the chunky hour indices with a perfect luminous hue
: of very light green/blue, they all fit together so well. Thanks
: for sharing this unusual watch. I think it's fantastic!
