Getting the watch stands was easy: I went into a big, fancy mall, wearing a big, fat Monaco (vintage), and asked some friendly looking clerks in the nice jewelry stores whether they could spare a stand. Two requests yielded two stands, and I would say that the key elements are (a) wearing a watch that shows them you are serious about this hobby and (b) being really nice to the clerks. In term of the photographic technique, the photos will be better without the insides of the stands showing, but that is tough (except on the "head shots").

I am not certain about the value of this Zodiac. I bought it before the prices escalated, and have not seen this model recently. If I had to guess, I would say $800 to $1000 for this one??
