I think it depends

: I'm curious how important or valuable you guys consider original
: papers to be? I know they add some value to a watch and probably
: make it more desirable to certain collectors, but is it a little
: bump in value or a big bump?

I think it depends on the watch. When a Patek pocket watch from 1900 has its original box and papers it might double the price. A box and papers for a 1995 Rolex sub probably adds $500 to the price. For a simple Autavia like a Viceroy I would bet that it adds a little. For a first year Monaco I bet it would add a lot.
