Hi Eric,
i am surprised to hear of an Autavia down in the 46xxx range.
My understanding was that the range started in the 48xxx as seen on this webpage
http://www.onthedash.com/docs/AutaviaRegistry.html
I can offer up 2 serial numbers for early dauphine hand model 2446's that dont appear in the data base.
One is 48859 - with the lume insert hands
Second is 49229 - a full lume hand model.
A side note here.
We often hear it quoted that the full lume hand models were the very first execution of Autavia but we also see the full lume 2446's in a very narrow batch from 49169 - 49229, a spread of only 60 in serial numbers. Clearly there are known lume insert examples with lower serial numbers, it begs the question - were the full lume hand versions really the first Autavia's offered for sale OR did Heuer take the cases out of sequence and use numbers 49169-49229 first and then return to use the earlier numbered cases on the lume insert modes?
Hmmm - if only Heuer had kept the official records that Rolex/Omega and many others kept !
Cheers & good luck hunting your lowest reference numbers.

: I am not extremely familiar with the first execution Autavia
: wristwatch serial numbers and am wondering what is the earliest
: that people have seen. I know of a 46655 Autavia purchased on
: eBay by Jeff Stein a while back and wondering if there are lower
: numbers out there. Thanks!
