That watch was one of my all time grail watches.
I'd seen it in a catalog but was not sure it really existed. I dreamed of finding it, and looked for it for years.
...but then when I saw it in the metal, actually it didnt look how I imagined it. I'd imagined it (not sure why really) in the grey pewter with the grey dial, with the boxing colours in red or orange. Funny how you can have things in your mind but life doesnt turn out like that. I'm sure there is some profound quote about that...
Still a very, very cool watch and unbelievably rare. I love all the very specialist Heuer timing tools like the rowing or film director stop watches. This one falls into that category. Enjoy.
