An amazing result & one that no doubt pleased the seller.
What we have here is an incredible lucky run in terms of timing.
From the sellers desrciption it does not sound as though he was aware of just how rare this lume hand Autavia model is , therefore i assume it was just pure luck that he offered up for sale as we were celebrating the Autavia's 50th birthday.
I note that last monday there were around 200 views of the auction. Earlier today the number was way over 900. Thats a lot of traffic no matter how you see it.
I must admit my estimate of its selling price was quite a bit off target but in consideration where else can someone buy a Dauphine hand Autavia (& a lume hand example at that)?
Are we seeing a new grail level of desire for theses "Origin of the Species". These 3646 & 2446 Autavia's are becoming the "Chronomatic" of the early Autavia world.
