A very thorough explanation, thank you. As for the winding and the multiple watches: That's about what I would expect, thank you for confirming. And I certainly hope that this is just my first step to becoming a multi-watch "weirdo" as well!
Something I wanted to point out about my watch that I thought was somewhat interesting - while it's a first-execution dial and hands, the bottom chronograph register contains the little "T" mark that can be found on the second-execution photo. Wonder if this is unusual, or perhaps the result of one of those servicing things you mentioned.
Lastly, I agree re. the aesthetics of the first versus second execution - there's something more elegant about the first execution dial that makes me far prefer it to the second execution.
