I remember seeing an all grey 3000 series on Jarl's 'Classic Heuers' blog a while back, and it looked great. The 3000 series is the kinda 'forgotten' range, coming in right near the end of Heuers 'independent' life.. in '84/85.
This one has been a long slog, I bought the case/dial/hands as a NOS 'salesman's' set, but sourcing a movement was a real pain.. took 3-4 donor watches to finally get one that had a great condition movement.
One thing to bear in mind if you consider buying a salesman's NOS parts - the dummy movement that hold the hands in place, they can stretch the tubes on the sub dial hands - so be warned, you may need to source some more hands.

Anyway, a MASSIVE THANKS goes to James (dreamboat10) who sorted out the movement transplant and all that went with it - I know it turned out to be a nightmare!! (Sorry James!!).. but.. it turned out rather nice in the end, a smashing example...
