It is interesting given (1) the breadth of Heuer's history and model range (2) my overdone Heuer fanaticism, actually I have some Heuers that are connected to board games...
Firstly, the first (and only, I presume) Heuer I bought because of a board game: this 1940s model. I bought this one from Jarl who had done extensive research to show that the back case engraving was done by staff of the SOO railway line, which ran through Sault St Marie (acronym = SOO). I bought it because I loved the connection to the Ticket to Ride board game (pictured in the background) where Sault St Marie is a critical station in the northern route from the west to east coast.
For Memoire 44, here's a Heuer which might have been produced in 1944 (actually I don't know these models so well, so it is a pure guess, maybe it's 50s, please correct me if necessary), sitting on a Memoire 44 board..
Finally a link which is not just a slightly tenuous connection; this was a Heuer produced explicitly for what is unarguably the most important board game in history. I love all the Heuer specialist timers, it really goes to the heart of Heuer as a timing company. Thanks Nic "Heuerboy" Green for this one!
