ABout 4 yrs ago I started looking into buying this watch; finally found one NOS with silver padded box for $500. Value is $850-1900 NOS.
I heard it described as a monumnet to watchmaking; a cross between the Blue Monaco and the AP Royal Oak....a description that fits. The fit/finish and detail are AP quality.
Yes, 50 were made in black as well a s gold/steel version; and were mostly given to Zenith/Mvado Ps and some serious collectors. I am negotiating the purchase of one now!
