Greetings from Geneva . . . where TAG Heuer is doing a fantastic job of commencing the year-long celebration of the Carrera's 50th Birthday. I'm too busy meeting friends [most of whom were only known to me through e-mail messages), and looking at watches, to do a proper posting, but let me just say that TAG Heuer is doing a great job with the party and with the watches!! It's been especially fun hanging out with Mark Moss all day, and sharing impressions of the Carreras, old and new.
I know that we vintage collectors are known as tough ustomers to please, but I am confident that there will be some Carreras coming that our members will admire (and even purchase)!! The 50th birthday Jack Heuer Carrera is amazing; a prototype Carrera in carbon fiber, with Calibre 1887 movement, is fantastic; and, yes, there is an all-black PVD Monaco.
Have a look at Calibre11.com to see some the the amazing watches that we are seeing!!
Scrap book coming soon . . . tomorrow, it will be the archives and Museum, in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
