On February 12, 2003, at exactly 11:42 PM (Atlanta time), we launched OnTheDash.com, announcing that OTD would be the “first website dedicated to vintage Heuer timepieces”. Accordingly, this coming Tuesday, February 12, 2013, will mark the 10th Birthday of OnTheDash.
While this pales in comparison to some of the recent birthdays and anniversaries that we have celebrated -- Autavia (50), Carrera (50) and Jack Heuer (80) -- I am proud of what we have accomplished as a community and I hope that members of the community will mark the occasion, each in their own special way.
Let’s start the 10th Birthday celebration, next Tuesday, February 12, and we can let it run through the following weekend, say Sunday, February 17th. Mark the birthday as you may see fit, but here are some suggestions for postings:
For anyone wondering what OTD looked like back in 2003, here is an archival view (captured March 30, 2003), from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine -- http://web.archive.org/web/20030330103755/http://www.onthedash.com/
Thanks to everyone for a fantastic 10 years, and we will look forward to your 10th Birthday postings next week!!
Jeff
