I've done it David.. I'm presuming that the bezel is off the watch...
My method of separating insert from the actual bezel .. thin blade inserted between bezel & insert from underneath/inside, and work your way around every 1/2 cm doing the same and ease it out.
If it is still on the watch and that's what you meant.. this is my method.. use lots of tape to protect.
