A genuine insert will pressure fit 'snap' into place.. inserted from the top down.
To remove the insert from the bezel, slide a thin blade between the bottom of the insert and the bezel.. inching around doing the same.. it'll slide out.*
*Presuming you're not talking about a 11063 with tramline bezel.
