Yeah, I remember seeing a picture of Pete Townshend wearing what looked like an early carrera dato. I can't find the photo either; I remember it was of the band posed in the woods somewhere, if we are thinking of the same one. I posted it a few years ago but the link is not working.

Actually talking watches and the king of cool, I'd probably nominate Miles Davis, but he was breitling guy...
